Does XHose Really Work?

The XHose claims to be an expandable garden hose with an innovative design that makes it easier and more convenient than traditional hoses. The major feature of the XHose is that it automatically expands up to 3 times its length when you turn on the water, yet when you turn the water off it contracts to its original size in seconds. This is supposed to make X-Hose, which is compatible with standard fittings, much more convenient to store. XHose is best at preventing the tangling and kinks so common with regular garden hoses. XHose is also said to be light in weight yet strong, sturdy, and built to last. It is also able to expand to a wide enough diameter to provide a high flow, high power spray. These features are said to come from the unique patent-pending design of the XHose, which consists of both a tough inner hose and a folded outer hose make from strong webbing.

XHose Reviews

No - Pressure break

I was thrilled with the hose for about 3 weeks. Friends and family were all testing it out and it was really a conversation piece. On the third week of use pressure blew a hole in the hose. I am returning it for another because I really love the hose and it is a fantastic idea for a hose.

Just got this and it is great. Does everything it says it does. Concerned about the heat in TX, but even if I have to replace every year it is worth it. Also concerned about the plastic instead of metal fittings. Would rather have the option to buy a true 75 and 100 length hose instead of putting them together.

I have a 75ft. combo and it works fine, No Leaks. I am so pleased I ordered another 100 ft. combo.

Yes - It's fine

It seems to work as advertised. Have not seen loss of pressure, and it is very convenient. The true test of the product will be how long it lasts. If I only get one season, then it’s like having a disposable item. For me, so far so good. I got the 50′ one, skeptical about having to attach two together to get more than 50′.

No - Two Pieces do NOT make One

[….} Like some have said in reviews, the adapter leaks thus you loose pressure & the quality sucks. Apparently anything length longer than 50′, you need the “adapter”.

No - Weak hose

I used the Xhose only a few times, when a hole burst in the middle of it. Other than that I liked it, now I have to pay to send it back.

Yes - Great Product

I ordered 100 feet of hose and the nozzle (which was not included). Received it today, and tried it out. It expanded and contracted just as advertised and the stream from the nozzle is very powerful. It is very lightweight and much easier to maneuver around our patio and pool decking than a traditional hose. I hope that with proper care, it will continue to please us.

Yes - Light enough to lug around

[….] I purchased this for my mom who maintains the up keep of my dad’s grave. (flower bed, and grass) She doesnt drive, and takes the bus to the cemetery, so a hose that is light weight was mandatory. Since this really is the lightest hose on the market, I had no other choice. Bought it from TV Showcase here in Toronto. Connected it, it expanded, and sprays out water fine out of the 3 sprayer that I bought. Turn of the water, hose got smaller, put it back in the back, and it’s light enough to lug around, even for my mom who is not that strong. [….]
