I love this thing. It works just as advertised. You can get a pretty good work out in 5 minutes. No waiting in switching exercises.

It is pretty heavy. I leave mine set up.

Pretty expensive if you buy it off TV. I have found them cheaper in stores (admittedly older versions.)

Total Gym can't totally replace a real gym, but it's NOT a total ripoff!

The unit really is capable of all the different exercises they show in the infomercial, and you can easily add resistance by increasing the tilt. If you have the necessary determination to actually use it, this product can definitely provide a good workout.

The ad fails to mention, however, that moving &/or preparing it for storage will also be a workout!

It's best left set up permanently, in an area NOT ACCESSABLE TO SMALL CHILDREN. There are removable pieces that could be lost, and some even swallowed! The moving parts could be dangerous, and kids should not be allowed to play on or near it.

I bought mine in 2001, I understand the product has improved since then. If I had anything negative to say about this product, it would be that it was not so easy to store, it was bulky and heavy. LOL Otherwise, I had so much fun using it I used it more than just the 30 minutes, muscles were toned and I was in pretty good shape. I ended up getting rid of it because I had to move to a smaller place, but I would most likely purchase a Total Gym again.

A little pricey, but it's of high quality. I've been using the Total Gym for a couple years now and yes, I'm in much better shape. The exercise routines are good, practical and easy to master. You can even pinpoint specific areas that you want to work on. I highly recommend this product.

The only problem issue I can think of (and it's slight), is it doesn't fold up and store as easily as the say.
