Does Top Styler Really Work?

I just bought the Topstyler and was very dissapointed with the results. On the infomercial your hair looks as if you will achieve gorgeous curls but the reality is so different. I have very fine, thin hair and the curls did not come out defined and glossy. My hair looked frizzy and part curled and the other straight or wavy. The technique was difficult to achieve and the end results were dissapointing. My curling iron works way better. Don’t recommend anyone to waste their money on something overpriced and that will not achieve expectations. Especially if you have fine hair.

I bought my TopStyler from a mall and it works fantastic. I have very thick, curly hair (it can be very unmanageable at times)and I can say the c-shells work great for my hair. I would be curling my hair for hours with a curling iron, but with the TopStyler it takes only 4 minutes to heat up and once you get the hang of doing the pin curl, it doesnt take long! I leave mine in for about 20 minutes (just because of my hair texture) and I get great curls. It also worked great on my sisters hair and she has medium thick hair as well. It does take time and practice to get how to do the pin curls and what style you want for your hair, but once you get it, its worth it. I would defintly recommend this product to anyone!

I had a hard time with the finger curls and getting them to stay in the clip. I have very fine, thin hair. I didn’t like the way it curled my hair. It gave my hair kinks instead of curls. The curls didn’t last as long as when I curl with curling iron. But I am still looking for a healthier way to style my hair.

Although it did take a few practice runs to get my desired look, I found that the c shells did exactly what they claimed! I have long fine thin hair & with the topstyler I got beautiful curls & tons of body! My hair has never looked thicker! I recommend using small sections of hair. As for damage, as long as any setting spray or product you use before hand is dry you’ll be just fine!

I would like to note that 1 star is FAR TOO HIGH of a rating. I received this product as a gift and I feel terrible for hating it so much however, the fact remains that this is the WORST stying product I’ve ever attempted. The techniques are difficult to master – resulting in tremendous effort and time for absolutely no gain. The curls did not hold in my hair for greater than 15 minutes. The ceramic shells do not damage your hair BUT wrapping your hair around your finger(s)/plastic accessory and then removing the wrapped, curled hair WILL break your Hair quite fantastically.

I got mine just before Christmas. I’ve used it 4 times, and I love it. I prefer using the small c shells. I have only tried the 2 finger curl; I leave them on for about 20 minutes, and they last all day. I wouldn’t use anything else anymore.

All I can say is WOW! I just got this today, Christmas, and I absolutely love it!!! I’m am sol very happy and ive told all my friends and relitives and a few are going to get them very soon. this is very easy once you get the hang of it. But I do addmit that it did take me about 20 minutes to figure out how to do the procedure. Now it takes me 5min to warm up and 5-8 minutes to curl half of my hair. I highly recamend this. Very wonderful! I love curling my hair and I will easyly say that I will use this 5 days out of the week.

Curls don’t last, nothing like the infomercial. sometimes I can achieve a partial curl and half the hair is curled, half is straight. I use the products purchased from Top Styler so my hair can achieve maximum “hair memory” (HUH? does my hair really memorize stuff???) and as recommended, I warm the shells max time and leave in my hair max time…still doesn’t work. I would not recommend this product and I would not pay a dime for this product either!
