I’ve got two speed peelers, and they’re good for different things. But when I need something tough, I break this one out. Great for banana squash, etc. The one thing I’ve noticed, though, is that it leaves little tiny scores from the serrated cutting edge, so if you’re doing something like yams, it’s a bit more messy than with a regular or a Y-shaped speed peeler.

I’m surprised to see that people let their children use this. I found this to be very sharp and cut myself on it. I found this very awkward to use. I prefer the good old fashioned peelers as they are much easier to use. Mine went into the garbage.

This product is well made, ergonomic, and looks like first quality. Very easy to clean and safe to use. Best of all, it really works. Peeling, shredding, slicing, julienne–are all easy, fast, and fun. Our 6 yr old grandson used it with ease! My wife and I definately recommend this very useful kitchen tool!
