Does The Baby Bullet Really Work?

The Baby Bullet baby food maker is a complete system for making your own organic baby food. According to the infomercial, the Baby Bullet baby food processor makes baby food up to 10x cheaper than store-bought products, with servings costing as little as 12 cents each. By making baby food recipes with organic ingredients and no added sugars and fillers, you can ensure that your infant has a more nutritious meal than anything available at the supermarket. The latest in the Magic Bullet line, the Baby Bullet blender is faster than traditional food processors, making purees in as quickly as 6 seconds. The Baby Blend Blade allows you to blend food to the perfect consistency for any stage eater: smooth purees for infants or chunkier texture for older babies and toddlers. The complete Baby Bullet baby food maker system also comes with the following: Flat Milling Blade for grinding grains into oatmeal; 2 Baby Blend Cups for combining flavors; Batch Bowl for larger jobs that can be stored in jars; 6 Storage Cups with a “dial date” so you always know the “made on” date of your baby food; freezer-friendly Batch Tray that holds 12 serving; portable Thermal Tiny Tote; Cookbook and nutrition guide. The Baby Bullet is dishwasher safe, as well as non-toxic and BPA-free.

The Baby Bullet Reviews

No - Don't waste your money!

My sister bought me a BB, was so excited to use it until I went to and it wouldn’t work, I was so disappointed! Never waste money on something like this again, a blender and a few small containers does the same trick for less money!

No - Better off getting a normal food processor

I bought the Baby Bullet and was excited to make my daughter’s food. After 3 uses my blade cracked! Very cheaply made. You can get the same results by using a normal food processor or blender. I’m now using just a food processor and small quilted glass jars for freezing food rather than freezing it in plastic containers.

Yes - Awesome, but with some issues

I was given the baby bullet by a friend, and even though I didn’t really if I wanted to make my own baby food, I have LOVED it! It really is easy to make purees, and clean after (that’s what would have deterred me the most). I know exactly what goes into my baby’s food, AND it has encouraged me to buy more fruits and vegetables, so now my husband and I get to eat better, too.
On the down side, I hand wash all the containers, because when I put them in the dishwasher they developped little cracks like some other people have mentioned. Also, after 6 months of use (granted I used it a lot), the motor doesn’t run as smoothly and is harder to activate. Since I didn’t feed my baby solids till she was 6 months, she’s a year now and I don’t really need too puree her food anymore, but I would have really loved to use this even for the grownups, and certainly for the next children which are to come, but I don’t think it’ll make it that long. Newest problem is that the everything blade has cracked (not sure how, since I never put it in the dishwasher). I’ve kept using it so far, but I’m not sure that’s entirely wise.
If I have to replace it I’d rather get a nutri bullet or magic bullet because that would be more appropriate to the whole family, but I worry that it may have similar issues of workmanship.

P.S.: I love the batch tray. It is not meant for food to stay indefinitely. You should freeze your batch, then pop the ice cubes out and store them in a freezer bag, that way you can have a variety of flavors on hand. It’s like an ice cube tray only better because the holes are shaped like the bitty cups (useful for thawing) and it’s made of a flexible plastic, so they’re easy to pop out (I tried freezing food in an ice tray, and I couldn’t get them out).

Yes - Never thought I'd LOVE making baby food

As a new mom, there are many things you discover about yourself. One of my most surprising discoveries came for me when I began to make my son’s baby food using the Baby Bullet. I actually LOVE making baby food. I NEVER thought I would say that. The Baby Bullet user manual and cookbook is a step-by-step guide to getting your baby started on baby food. I was so nervous to open the box up initially but once I did and read the manual, I felt completely comfortable. The best part is knowing EXACTLY what is going into my son’s body. Knowing that I made it for him is a bonus that just makes me feel good.
