Does Slap Chop Really Work?
The Slap Chop is a one of a kind kitchen device that manually chops by slapping the plunger. Each slap will activate 3 sharp blades to cut and chop the food. The more times you press the plunger, the finer the food gets. Use it for veggies, fruits, nuts and chocolate. With Slap Chop, you do not need to switch blades and your food will be ready to cook or serve in a few minutes. Mince garlic and dice onions minus the smell on your fingers. This device is dishwasher safe and the base can be easily opened for easy cleaning. The Slap Chop can be purchased online and measures 3.8” x 3.8” x 9.8” and weighs about .8 pound.

Slap Chop Reviews

I used this product for green peppers and onions. It smashed the peppers into the “blades” and mashed the onions. Forget trying to “Slap” it. I was near punching it! Such a joke. Glad a relative brought this for family use. I wouldn’t waste a penny on it!

As previously said, veggies are mostly smashed to a paste like texture rather than chopped. Also, once you push down on the top piece it just sticks there & you have to pull it back up. Impossible to do with two fingers as portrayed in the commercial.

I got this as a gift and used it a few times. It tends to simply pulverize veggies rather than chopping them. Might be useful for onions in soups and sauces where the onions would be cooked into mush anyway.
