Does Shed Vac Really Work?
Now there is an easy way to get rid of your dog’s shedding hair without having to worry about the hair falling all over your home and furniture, according to Shed Vac. According to Shed Vac, shedding can be responded to in a clean and easy way that is also pain free to your pet. Shed Vac claims to be an innovative tool. Now you don’t need to just comb or brush your pet’s hair, they claim, you can vacuum it with Shed Vac. All the pet hair that is removed is conveniently stored inside the Shed Vac, they say. Shed Vac claims its specially designed head can lift and trap hair from your pet’s undercoat, where most of the shedding occurs, they claim. As a result, the top coat is left healthy and shiny. Shed Vac also claims to work faster, gentler and more effectively than traditional grooming devices. You save time grooming your pet, and have more free time to cuddle them, they add.
Shed Vac Reviews

The Shed Vac is terrible. Both of my dogs are very easy going so the sound did not bother them, but it was basically the equivalent of rubbing a piece of paper down their backs – IT DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! It was the biggest waste of money for me. Granted, my money was refunded, but it still cost me for shipping both ways. Please don’t waste your time on this product!

Good concept, but unfortunately the batteries fall out of it and the clear chamber doesn’t close. I had to use duct tape on it to keep it closed and keep batteries in.

I’d get another one only because our cat loves it! She is usually noise sensitive but adapted readily to its use by taking time to introduce it to her (? feels like a massage to her?) Defective fit of cap at bottom of device caused it to blow open when vacuum switched on, but when sealed securely with piece of tape, the device sucked in hair well. Device “died” after several months use (yes, the batteries were checked & changed a couple of times) & seems cheaply made. The idea is great if they would produce a well-made, plug-in Shed Vac that would be worth the cost (like the Furminator!) Our cat would be grateful, too.

After feeling slightly excited that a product finally came out to stop dog hair from falling everywhere in the house, I bought the shed vac. Absolute waste of money, the little hair it grabs does not go into the container, the container lid does not stay shut and my dog freaks out at the sound of it and he has short hair, it is NOT quiet. What ever happened to false advertising. Don’t buy it, its a waste of money and time, a normal dogs brush works better than this piece of garbage.

This product is a waste of money. It does NOT work on long haired dogs. It gets his hair all tangled and he yelps because its pulling his hair. Now I need to see how I can return it and get my money back.

We bought this product 6 months ago, actually got 2 to get the cheaper second one. We also got the power cords to go with them, have never tried them just battery powered, maybe a difference in suction?? We have found the shed vac to work wonderful, we have 2 cats and it took a little while to get used to it but it sucks tons of hair, the cats love it, couldn’t be happier with the product.

First one cord shorted out after 5 minutes. Returned at my expense. Three emails asking for refund. No reply. Second sent after six weeks. Second didn’t work either, on my short-haired cat. Didn’t see these reviews,or I wouldn’t have thrown my money away. FORGET ABOUT IT!!!

My cat loves this-she actually “asks” to be vacuumed. Getting her used to this took some time + a treat then 1 day while she was laying on top of the dryer she let me do it for a long time + a treat. Now it is an every day ritual.
