After my husbands long illness, my carpeting was in horrible condition from spilled ashtrays and odors I’d rather not describe. Not having the time or money to replace the carpet I rented the Rug Doctor. The carpeting was so bad, I honestly did not expect the carpet to be “clean” after, just make the room tolerable. However, after doing half the room I was totally amazed!! It is a light green carpet and one section had an extremely large brown area from spilled ashtrays. The Rug Doctor completely removed the dirt, stains and odors!!! I didn’t think even a professional carpet cleaner could have done as good a job!

This product really works…..raised 2 kids with Berber carpet, the worst carpet ever made. Everything sticks to it. I rented the Rug Dr Pro and all the stains and braced wax came up out of my carpet. The carpet was almost restored to it color when brand new. All I could really see after it was cleaned was the wear of 15 yr old carpet! I would use it again!

I have a couple of 4-plexes, and after working my way through numerous ‘other’ steam cleaners, all of which were ‘highly rated’ by Consumer Reports, I succumbed to the adverts for the Rug Doctor. OMG – what an amazing difference – this product is absolutely amazing. I should have bought it earlier! Previously I would have to cross over an area maybe 6 times – now the Rug Doctor achieves better cleaning in a single pass. The carpets are drier too and can be walked on in around 30 minutes. Since more of the detergent is extracted, there’s less tendency to attract more grease, so carpets stay cleaner longer though I’d still recommend a rinse with plain water. This machine is just amazing so I can’t recommend more highly. It saves me time and money and it is so well made that I reckon it’ll last forever. Great product at a fair price!

I have had the Rug Doctor Pro since it came out on a shopping channel about 4 years ago and I love it. I always keep cleaning solution in it and it only takes a few minutes to clean up a stain and is very, very easy.
