I have my rotisserie for about ten years and it still works like the day I recieved it. We cook everything with and love the taste. It’s like going to the local grills.

Overall, I would recommend the Showtime Rotisserie. Roasted meats are juicy, but without all the fat. I just don’t have room enough to keep it on my counter, so I don’t use it as often as I would like.

I love the Rotisserie. It cooks poultry to perfection and beef roast are to die for. But as others have mention it does not do well inside. It gets hot and smoke from the fat burning gets in the house. I put mine on the screen porch so it works out very well. And I just love how I can put the meat on and forget bout it. I just check every so often till its done and I don’t have to worry about it burning or over cooking because it has a timer.

No - It will roast more than your meat!

The rotisserie DOES work, and WILL cook your food… BUT it will also cook anyone near it and will heat up your kitchen like crazy!

The top outside of oven is advertised as a place to “warm” vegetables in a tray – make that “FRY TO A CRISP”!

The outside of the oven is metal and gets VERY hot. The glass is single pane & uninsulated, so it gets VERY HOT. There are air vents in the sides and gaps around the door – so it cranks out air that is VERY hot.

The end result is like having an old-fashioned wood-burning stove in your kitchen – which might be great in the middle of Winter up North somewhere — but I live in Arizona and pay big $$ for air conditioning almost year round.

This little devil was just too hot to use indoors, and too open to use outside (flies can get in, and so can blowind dust and grass, etc.)

Bottom line for cooks in a warm climate – DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

We have had our oven for over 6 years now and it works just as good as new and still makes some of the best chicken, pork roasts, leg of lamb, and many other dishes !!!

We’ve had our Showtime Rotisserie for over a dozen years and it’s still going strong. Plus, their customer service is great. We were getting a dangerously overheating cord, I called them and they replaced the entire unit (everything permanently attached). Our spatter guard does remove, but over time is definitely spattered. I’ve tried everything except oven cleaner on it–it’s pretty thin and I don’t want to kill it. I’ve loaned it to friends to use as an extra oven for Thanksgiving, and once it came back with the rotisserie bent (you can’t force the prongs, you have to re-thread your food if it won’t align) and had to order another one, no problem. The gloves are a bit clunky and slippery, but definitely work if you are wrestling with a hot chicken. Then, just keep them on and wash your hands, they clean beautifully. I agree with the previous reviewer, the veggie thing is a waste–maybe for warm rolls? We began using it with chicken (wonderful), moved on to turkey (perfect) and eventually I tried a rib roast. Wow, it was the best ever! It lived on the counter at our previous two houses, now it’s under the cooktop, so storage might be an issue. But if you’ve got room, definitely worth the investment. Get the big one, you’ll be glad once you try a turkey. Set it and forget it!

Yes - Just like the store bought rotisserie chickens

I love mine. I got Christmas gift about 6 years ago. It works perfectly and the chickens come out exactly like the ones you buy at the store that are still hot. But the only thing to be careful of is to get a good quality chicken. It can’t make a pumped-full-of chemicals/hormones/salt-solution chicken taste good.!! Worth the money and have had no problems. You will have to learn how to “tie” up the chicken legs though, so that they don’t flop around. (directions included)

I was at work one Sunday in 1998 when my partner called to tell me he’d ordered something: the Showtime Rotisserie. My response was a less-than-enthusiastic sigh. It arrived close to Thanksgiving so we decided we’d give our small turkey at go in it. Again, I wasn’t enthusiastic. What came out, just a couple of hours later, was the most incredible, most moist, flavorful, crispy-skinned turkey either of us has EVER had! Not a trace of that yucky slimy quality that the dark meat underside can have. It was perfect! Whole chickens come out the same: perfect. Hot dogs and sausages turned out great. Chicken breasts and burgers done in the basket provided were equally successful. Clean-up was more or less easy, though the back splatter guard, which cannot be removed, gets messy and unattractive. The attachments are a breeze to clean. The glass door gets gunked up but can be removed and, with a little scrubbing, comes out very nicely. The oversized, thick, heavy gloves, provided for easier, burn-free removal of whatever you’ve just cooked, are SO thick as to be rather cumbersome and are probably simply too large to be of use for anyone with smaller hands. Our unit also came with a two-compartment side-dish warmer which is meant to sit atop the rotisserie when in use; because it is of such a thin metal and so close to the heat of the unit, vegetables come out wildly overcooked. DEFINITELY don’t want to “set it and forget it” with THAT! But that was a minor quibble. We LOVED our Showtime Rotisserie! Just loved it. If we hadn’t left home to go on a months-long camping trip, we’d still have one, and would still be using it. It is the one infomercial product we’ve bought that didn’t disappoint. (And THAT is saying something!)
