The foam is great. It works to keep your hair and regrow some new hair. I've used Rogaine for 20 years and am happy with the results. The new foam is a huge improvement over the liquid. The foam will actually dry on your scalp and won't leave an oily film like the liquid does. Sure it's pricey but so are your other options (Propecia, hair transplants).

The simple fact is: Rogaine works. Will it work for everyone? No, I am sure it will not. Did it work for ME? Yes. The DOWNSIDE - and this is something to really consider if you're interested in trying it - is the expense: while Rogaine is much cheaper nowadays than when I used it (back when it was about $50), it is STILL an expense, and this is a product that, once you begin using it, to maintain the hair that's regrown you MUST continue using the product or your new hair will fall out. I speak from experience, folks. (I had to stop using it because I simply couldn't afford to keep buying it; I began to lose my hair at the age of 16, and by my 21st birthday my forehead - naturally high to begin with - was even higher. Being young, I wasn't making much money so it was food and rent...or Rogaine. I always found food and shelter pretty nice and figured Rogaine wouldn't exactly keep me warm at night, so...) I don't know if there are any side effects with Rogaine but I didn't seem to experience any. That's not to say YOU might not experience any, of course! In this case, it's not so much "buyer beware", but, rather, "buyer BE-aware". I had success with it, as have countless other men (they DO make a formula for women but I cannot attest to its efficacy), but just know there IS expense involved AND a daily routine that will be lasting you the rest of your life.
