The motor and cutter had no power. The area where nail went was to small. Probly ok for small dog but not large dogs. Will use for something else maybe birds????

You really need to take the time to train the dog to not be afraid of the whirring sound. Once there, which doesn’t take long, your pooch should be cool with having the claws filed. And it works great. Never hit the quick and no bloody hurtful mess. I like mine. Okay, so the battery wears down quickly and you can’t but replacement heads except in the multi-pak size, but that’s the only down side. I took the protective cover off the sander since only the middle was wearing down, which is a waste. Just need to get used to the smell of powdered nails, sort of like burning hair.

The PediPaws itself works fine, I don’t have any issues with it (besides a short battery life). It trims the nails safely and doesn’t hurt the dogs.
The problem is, the dogs don’t like it.
I think it’s the sound of the motor, since they don’t have a problem until it is turned on.
Once it is on the dog will try to get away from me when using it. The dog will calm down after awhile, but the first few minutes it’s a fight to keep the dog still and do it’s nails.
The dog will try to run off and you get worried you might pull a muscle or injure it if you don’t hold it tight under your arm.
Otherwise it works great, the battery life could be longer though.
