Does Ove Glove Really Work?
Now comes the Ove Glove, which claims to be a handy feature in kitchenware with the ability to withstand extreme heat up to 450 degrees F. It can be used on hot pans fresh out of the oven, or skillets where patties had been sizzling hot. The Ove Glove is made from a unique material, they say it is comprised of an outer layer of DuPont, NOMEX and KEVLAR. These materials, they say, are the same ones that are used in making the gloves of firemen. Hot objects can now be held for a longer time. The exterior of the Ove Glove is quite tough and sturdy and with its thermal isolation barrier, temperature increasing in the inner glove is slowed down. You can, they say, even expose this glove to an open flame, and it will not catch fire nor melt.
Ove Glove Reviews

I love this glove. Its the only mitt I really use. I can touch oven rack, hot cookie sheet, casserole dish and not feel a thing. I even used one to throw wood on a fire in the fireplace.
But there is warning on the package NOT to get it wet or you can burn yourself and they ain’t kidding. So, you do need to be careful around things that are wet or water that may boil over and splash you cause after that you have to take the thing of and let it dry before using it again.
As long as you keep it dry during use its a great product.
