When my electric can opener started to go out, I was upset, because I have arthritis and other severe joint problems and turning a manual can opener was just too hard. I saw an advertisement for this on TV with a 2-for-1 deal and decided to take a chance on it. I was just amazed...it works like a charm. Make sure to carefully align the lip on the opener with the lip of your can (and make sure your can is resting on a non-smooth surface--my first time using it, the can tried to "walk" off the countertop!), press the button, and let it go. It takes just a few seconds, and voila! the can is open. Perfect every time. Love it.

Bought this for my elderly mother-in-law and she loves it. In fact she bought several for friends as gifts. Easy to use especially since she has arthritic hands. Sometimes the lid doesn't completely cut through but if you restart it the lids cuts through the second time around.

I have had no problem using mine. It is nice that I can set it on a can to open and still have my hands free to get the next can ready or empty the first can. I also love that it removes the whole rim of the can so stuff is not getting stuck on the folded part of the rim.

Mine tends to eat batteries, and you do need to place it on the lid of the can properly to get it to work, but compared to my friend's electric can opener, this opener is a breeze to operate.

I tried this product when it first came out and was really hoping it would do as it promised. I followed the directions and could not get it to work. what a waste of money
