I was surprised at that actually but it really pulverizes ice and makes awesome smoothies! I've used it to make the "ice cream" too. Some fruit, milk and a little sugar and it's a great dessert. Made guacamole and it mixes it up superbly. Those blades are razor sharp though so be careful. If you're on the fence, you won't be disappointed in this product.
