No - Smoothies/Puree NOT!

This machine was a great disappointment, my family purchased it as a Christmas gift and I have been trying to get it to make baby food, superfine smoothies and purees. It doesn’t do this. Baby food will not puree down to fine consistency. Coffee smoothie drinks (milk/soy/almond based)doesn’t integrate ice with liquid and leaves chunks.
If you blend with prepared juices or make ice-cream smoothies it will work, but so much for natural food/products and healthy outcomes!
The company will not honor the return policy, as they are playing the run-a-round game as to who actually sold the product. Don’t buy from an infomercial!
I know my family spent good money for this and they really were trying to help me with a health issue that I need this for. Don’t waste your time, money, frustrations and food!

Bought mine at Sams Club for $124. I have used it to make smoothies and hummus so far. Very powerful system. It is a solid machine and easy to clean up. I would recommend this unit to anyone needing a new blender/chopper.

It does not chop or blend well. Leaves big chunks
Of onion, garlic etc. It is only fair for smoothies.
I am very disappointed.

The Ninja worked the first 5 times when my wife used it. When I tried using it the first time the small container would not turn on so I tried the big container and that worked well. right now the small container does not work. I have tried looking for the problem. The threads don’t discuss this peculiar problem. The fact that everyone says it lasts 30 days is already making me a believe that this item is not a lifetime keeper

I purchased the 1100, after seeing it advertised. The machine worked and performed as described. The smoothies were so thick. You could add just the right amount of ice and milk and yogaurt plus frozen fruit and you had a perfect smothie everytime. The problem is after using it for the first 25 days, the PLASTIC internal gear wore out. This thing is an ice crusher, but its not a lifer! So I returned the product to the company I bought from, they sent me another one. I was skeptikal at first, but hey why not give it a shot at that price!! Cheap, right? So I continued mixing this fabulas smoothies and about 30 days later, the exact same thing happened!! The machine has tons of power, maybe to much. I use a lot of ice plus a lot of frozen fruit. I tried mixing dough in it one time. Anyways, I think if they made or used better quality parts they would have [a better] machine. So I returned that one in, and I no longer own a 1100.

This Ninja product is weak, and after 3 months it literally broke down. I’m going back to Kitchen Aid!

I had spinal surgery in June 2011, I still dont have full use of either arm or hand. My blender had died and after watching the infomercial over I asked and received it for Christmas. It is the best thing since sliced bread! If you don’t understand how powerful the blades are you will over pulse your food to death, but I use it just about everyday usually more than once a day. It’s simple easy to use and takes a workload off my arms and hands so that I can actually cook more again. I had’nt been able to do as uch stuff because of my disability and now I’m back on track thanks to NINJA. Thank you Ninja! Money well spent. If I could afford to get all my friends one I would!

No - Not A Mixer as Advertised
2 stars2 stars2 stars2 stars2 stars

My hubby bought this for me, since I burn out mixers so quickly. He thought the top quality motor would handle all my heavy baking. Not so much. It pulverized my salsas and anything I wanted to “chop”. It didn’t handle any kind of bread dough well at all. It says to use its small bowl for cookies, but after 2 months, it’s paddle got stripped and wouldn’t turn. Then, there’s the awful clean out and clean up! It’s terrible to try to get the paddles out of the bowls after making cake batter! Your hands and entire spatulas are covered in dough. I had to scrape the sides so often to get everything incorporated, it was maddening! The bowl was never got fully clean, as food got into the bottom too easily and didn’t come out. The inside of the paddles got food and again hard to remove. I was so thankful the store he bought it from took it back when the small bowl wouldn’t turn anymore after 2 months. He meant well, but I’m going to pay a little more and get a proven KitchenAid next!
