Does Mederma Really Work?

A skin care product that is formulated to treat, soften and reduce the appearance of both old and new scars, Mederma is a greaseless topical gel that is made from special botanical extracts. It also contains Cepalin, a patented proprietary blend that helps with removing scars from surgery, burns, injury, acne and stretch marks as well. Mederma will not stain clothes and once applied, it is quickly absorbed by the skin. To use, apply a thin layer of Mederma to the affected area, gently massaging the scar, 3 to 4 times every day.  To achieve best results, use Mederma for about 8 weeks on new scars and between 3 to 6 months for old scars. Mederma is not intended to be used on open wounds.
