Does Make the Cut! Really Work?

The Make the Cut! software lets you get the most out of your craft die cutting machine. Now nearly any kind of shape you require for your project you can cut. The Make the Cut! software uses an easy -to-learn WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) user interface to make getting the precise design you want convenient. You can use any font installed on your computer as well as import designs in SVG, TTF, OTF, PDF or SCUT file formats and even convert “raster” image files, such as JPEG, GIF, and PNG into cuttable patterns, making countless numbers of images available. Once you have imported an image, you can use the Make the Cut! software to edit it into precisely the shape you need by joining, breaking, layering, etc. An online user forum provides advice and tutorials. The Make the Cut! software is available for download for Windows 7, Vista, and XP computers and works with Boss Kut Gazelle, Craftwell eCraft, USCutters MH/Laser Series, and Black Cat Cougar/ Lynx /KNK die cutters.
Make the Cut! Reviews

I have never had a software program of any kind that works as well as MTC! It is easy to learn, has a great forum for learning different techniques, upgrades are free, and has great support from the developer. What more can a person ask for?

The day before I was to buy another software to use with my Cricut, I found Make-the-Cut (MTC) software. It was awesome and has continually gotten better. I am amazed at how the developer just kept adding updates as his customers asked for them. The platform is easy for the beginner to get started and build on their knowledge. There are so many people in the cutting arena, both crafters and professionals that use it and love it.
The sad thing is, so many people bought Cricut cutters to use with their MTC and because Provo Craft sued the developer, many of us cannot use it for the purpose for which we bought it. So, many of us are abandoning the Cricut and buying more expensive cutters so we can use this $60 piece of software. I’m saving to pay out $600 for another cutter so I can use MTC…that is how awesome it is!

I use Make the Cut software and will not uninstall from my computer. I use Make the Cut Version 2.3.1 which is the one b/4 Andy was FORCED to agree to remove the option to cut on PC Cricut. It does what I want it too, except when I am cutting in fast mode, but it could be that the file I was cutting was small and delicate but after restarting my laptop, I was able to continue cutting on my Cricut using MTC at optimal speed. Otherwise, it does what I want it too..break apart my files, trace, etc. I don’t have the money to upgrade my cutting machine, so will continue to use the Cricut Expression ’til it dies.
