Does Handybar Really Work?
This product claims to facilitate getting in and out of cars for people who may be elderly or have a type of disability such as arthritis in the knees, Parkinson’s disease, or generalized weakness. The Handybar is a gadget that you carry to your car. Upon opening the door, you can slip the Handybar into the side of the car where the door normally locks in. This keeps the Handybar steady and you can lean on it while getting in the car or getting out. The Handybar can be used for either front or back doors. In this way, they claim that an elderly or weak person benefits from preventing falls and achieves a sense of independence. This non-slip handle, they say, fits into 95% of all newer car models.
