Does GT Xpress 101 Really Work?
The GT Xpress 101 is basically an electric kitchen gadget that is advertised to cook a lot of things from omelets to pancakes, calzones, muffins, burritos, pouched eggs, and many more. As seen on the TV infomercial with Cathy Mitchell, GT Xpress 101 comes with two recipe books having tons of recipes for users to try out as well as a plastic lifting tool, flavor injector, dough pocket maker, and plastic mixer all packaged in the box. Surfaces that’ll come in contact in food to be cooked are non-stick, and the whole GT Xpress 101 appliance is designed with cord wraps to stand in storage mode where it won’t occupy as much space.
GT Xpress 101 Reviews

Express 101 works great. Used to take to work and fix omlettes for everyone during morning meetings. Did find that it worked better when you wipe a small amount of oil on it rather than spray can oil.
Redi-set-go Also works great. With both you need to preheat. I had no problems with the top not heating the same as the bottom.

What a total waste of money! It didn’t cook the top of the food-only the bottom. The portions are ridiculously small. The timer broke on the first try. I got my money back minus the hefty shipping charge. They give you two for the price of one-probably so you can scavenge parts off of it!

If you plan on using this thing, it does the job well. It works wonders at making omlettes to order. Just put the ingredients into cups and pur the cups into the GT Xpress. You can make 4 appropriate portions at a time. Buiscit batter also cooks well in this thing and you can add stuff to that. I don’t use mine much cause I have a galley kitchen and all my gadgets are stored away until I move but this is one I hope to use more when I move to help save time in the morning with cleaning (just use a paper towel to clean) and prep.

The Redi-Set-Go is essentially the same as the GT Xpress 101 except that its default cooking surface is a round pan, not divided. A divider insert came with my RSG. Other inserts are available, for extra charges (of course ;) ).
It heats quickly, and does a fine job cooking. It is great for a quick breakfast or supper. And it does do a nice job grilling a sandwich. You do need to turn what you are cooking to get nice browning on both sides. The top does not seem to get as hot as the bottom cooking surface.
I always lightly season mine with a little oil before heating. And instead of the spatula provided, I use a silicone spatula or spoonula to remove food from the cooking well(s).
Some people have had problems with the non-stick coating flaking off, but the company is very good are providing a replacement.

I lost my first one in Katrina and purchased another for myself and son – easy to use and you can be creative.
