Just lost my 3 month old puppy One-One to a paralysis tic. I was using Frontline Plus for his protection. He must have got the tic on about day eleven of the two week dosage period. I am devastated by his loss. About a month earlier I removed a tic from my older dog who was also 'protected' by Frontline plus. Ric

I used Frontline Plus for 10+ years for fleas and ticks. About 2 years ago it stopped working for fleas. My pugs would be eat up with fleas. However, I haven't seen a tick on them and I know that we have ticks because they have gotten on me. So if you need a product to fight ticks... Frontline Plus is it. If you want a product to fight fleas, this is not the product to buy.

I have used Frontline for 15+ years and never even saw a flea. This year I've spent over $400 on Frontline and I am still having flea problems. It is being applied correctly on all 5 dogs. I have wood floors. I wash dog bedding, couch and human bedding at every treatment of Frontline. My chocolate lab mix is overridden with flea bites. I called Meril for the satisfaction guarantee and all they can say is there must be eggs in my yard and the fleas jump on my indoor dogs during their potty breaks. So the fact is you can still have fleas in your house, on your dog and family members even after you use Frontline. I want a flea free home if I'm spending hundreds of dollars on a product. They also want you to save all of your receipts for 4 months. Why even offer the satisfaction guarantee? They do not honor it and will try everything to get around it.

We use this regularly on our dogs and cat, and have never had a problem with fleas in the house. Although fleas or ticks that bite will eventually die, the thing I dont like is that they DO bite. I've seen ticks on my dogs, but in a day or two they drop off dead. That's only happened once or twice, but I dont think this prevents anything from biting, just sticking around or multiplying. I've also used this on rescue dogs that were infested with ticks and within a couple days they were tick free. Doesnt smell as bad as Promeris either, so I stick with this because I know it works.
