Does the EdenPure Heater Really Work?

EdenPURE Gen3 heaters provide an alternative heating source that is safe for families, portable, and economical to use. This heater can heat up to 1,000 square feet of space. With the EdenPURE Heater, heating electric bills are cut by 50%. There are 2 models is the EdenPURE Gen3, namely the Model 500 which can heat up to 300 square meters, and the model 1000 which heats 1,000 square meters. These heaters cannot start a fire, and its outer casing is just warm to the touch so it is not harmful to children or pets. In fact, a pet can sleep on it while it is working, product makers claim. This heater does not affect or alter the humidity or oxygen within a room. It also does not release poisonous carbon monoxide into a room, nor harmful radiation, they claim.

This is our first full winter with Eden Pure. As far as saving money, I’m not sure. Our main source of heat is propane, but the gas only kicks in once the outside temperature gets down to around 38 degress. We have used the Eden Pure the majority of the winter in our living room and we set the thermostat on our regular heater down to about 65 so it hardly kicks on. The EP heater keeps our living room and kitchen toasty warm. The back of the house does get very chilly, but it doesn’t matter since we spend the majority of the night in the living room. We usually shut it off at night when we go to bed and turn it back on early the next morning to get the chill out of the air although I have left it running the entire night numerous times. This is the first year we have ever not gotten a second tank of gas delivered sometime in January or February. However, we have had a fairly mild winter this year so that may have made the difference. I do think that it might make our electric bill go up some, but that is offset by the cost of the gas that we are not using. Either way, we love it. It heats the room quickly (to the point of being hot). Yes, the cats love it and I have even set my school books on top. It stays that cool. It even comes with a remote (which was wonderful until we lost it.) We have considered another one for my husband’s work building which has no source of heat. We just haven’t done it yet because they are not cheap.

My bedroom and bathroom is all tile. It is very cold in the mornings when I get in the shower. This heater is perfect for keeping the back of the house warm. I would reccomend this heater to everyone.

Yes - Keeps Me Comfortable

My Edenpure keeps me very comfortable. It is easy to move from room to room and my 7 cats all enjoy sitting on it. It has increased my electric bill about $30 a month but my gas furnace which is normally set at 66-70 degrees seldom comes on unless the temp drops below freezing. Overall, my cats and I are very comfortable without increasing my heating costs.

Yes - Works fine

Have had an EdenPure for several years now. I live in a cinderblock house and use this in my bedroom where I spend most of my time when at home. I leave my central heat on 62* and cut the EdenPure on when I come home in the evenings and in 10 to 15 minutes it’s nice and cozy. Living in a cinderblock house with no insulation it does not work as well when the temps drop below freezing. The machine has saved some dough verses not using it.

Yes - We Love EdenPURE

Well, we’ve seen a lot of negative comments about EdenPURE online. And have come to the conclusion we must be “freaks.” because we L-O-V-E our EdenPURE HEATER.

This is our third (3rd) season to use our EdenPURE. It has performed very well for us. We have a lot of drafty places in our house and especially our den, where we stay most of the time. EdenPURE helps to keep us very comfortable. My grandson even plays on the stone floor next to the EdenPURE and stays very warm.

I think that the problem with some not getting the same results is that they are depending on the EdenPURE as a “sole” source of heat; which is fine for a single room alone with the door closed. Or they are using the smaller heater to do the job that requires the LARGER heater. The smaller heater is fine for a bathroom, but not sufficient for other larger rooms with doors open.

When we purchased our EdenPURE, three years ago, the ads indicated that it performed best if used “after” the home has been warmed with the regular heating system. It truly did not cost us any more to heat our home, even when the EdenPURE is left on the entire time we are up. We shut it off when we go to bed. We have a central air/heat pump. Our thermostat is kept on 70 degrees all winter. Using it alone, the unit comes on quite often, but using the EdenPURE keeps it from coming on as much, which results in warmer rooms at no more cost and sometimes less cost. I have NEVER seen the EdenPURE run our electric bill up one iota. But, I know without it, our bill would be higher and our house would be colder. We are on a plan with the Power Company for budgeting our bill annually. Our power bill is never more than $149, which is in the summer for air conditioning…less in winter, which we do attribute to the help we get from using our EdenPURE.

Our den was added and we had no way of connecting the existing heating system to it. It has a fireplace which is used only in emergencies when power goes out. We placed our EdenPURE in the den, and close the door to our den at night when we go to bed. The temperature in there drops significantly 15-20 degrees from rest of house on winter nights. In the mornings we go in and turn on our EdenPURE and close the door again. In 10-20 minutes, time coffee and cereal is ready, we can open the den door and go in comfortably. The den door is left open for the rest of the day and till around midnight each evening. The temperature equalizes out with the rest of the house before we know it. And our EdenPURE helps to “HOLD” the temperature throughout around 70 degrees the entire day and evening. The central heat pump is not kicking on so often. That means we are saving money. And the warmth is a surprisingly clean, pure all over comforting warmth.

We are about to purchase two more of the EdenPURE heaters, of the newest models, one LARGE for my son’s house; and one SMALL for my grandson’s playhouse. It is safe to use around children and pets; and our grandson has learned how to use it safely. We purchased a 10′ x 16′ storage building for his playhouse and know that a small EdenPURE will be just perfect for it. We set up our own little computer spot in there to stay with him while he plays with his trains, and we’ll all be comfortable.

Follow the manufacturer’s suggestions and you will get better results and pleasure from your EdenPURE. Remember it is not a stand alone heating system for an entire house, but is a “holding” the temperature system once the house is warm. You will appreciate it for that!

We have a full basement of about 12 square feet and it would get COLD in the winter. We bought an Eden Pure heater in 2008 for the basement and it works GREAT! Keeps the entire area confortably warm and we’ve saved on our electric bill as well!
