Overall, I'm pleased with the Bump-Its. I have long, medium density hair and I like to put it up with a Bump-It for a special occasion. However, I'd say that it's not nearly as easy to use as they make it look in the commercial. It did take some getting used to and I do have to tease the front of my hair quite a bit to cover the Bump-It up, so it's not something I have time for on a day-to-day basis. If you don't mind a little extra work for a special occasion, you'll be pleased.

It did not work well for me, I have crazy thick hair. I got them because I thought it would be quick, easy and cute with a pony, but I was wrong. Not easy at all, I cant tell you how long I stood in my bathroom trying to make this thing work and look good with no sucess.

I have super thick/frizzy/curly/crazy hair, but I only wash it 3 or so times a week. I use dry shampoo in between, but when I straighten my hair it does get a little flat. The bumpit is super fabulous for me! It gives me lift and volume without a ton of work! I did have to practice with it but I love it!

Well I bought this in store so it wasn't very expensive. It doesn't work for thin hair. No matter what I did I couldn't get the hair to cover the comb. So it's totally pointless because it's supposed to give people with thin hair more volume. Why would a person with thick hair buy this??

I too, have somewhat thin, straight hair. You would need a lot of thick hair to cover this thing. I tried teasing it but it was soooo obvious you could see the plastic. My money was wasted. If you have thick hair, or curly hair, it might work for you.

Well I have really thin hair so it didnt quite work for me. But isn't that what it is supposed to do? Volumize your hair, especially when you have thin hair, but the comb part of it shows through. Not recommend it to people with thin hair.

I have fine hair and it works for me. It just takes practice to tease fine hair enough for the comb to not show through.

I get so many compliments on my hair when I used a bumpit. I don't have really thick hair so I backcomb it first just a bit with a boar bristle brush. The best thing to do is pull the hair really hard over the bumpit and then you can fluff and adjust it to cover the comb teeth, and I also use hairspray. I always love doing different things with my hair, but I hate spending a lot of time getting ready, so bumpits were the perfect find for me!

I was so disappointed in this product. I have fine hair and need the volume, however, fine hair does not cover the comb. You would have to have a head full of hair for this to work.
