BarkOff worked for my barking Maltese. I had to purchase more than one though. I had them on all the time for the first week and after that I only turned them on when he started barking. The product does need a light or something to show that it is working.

A mini Schnauzer, and a Jack Russel would randomly start barking at the same time every night and if someone would come to the door. Once bark off goes on the dogs give a retreat bark as they head off to get out of ear shot. The trick is to just turn it on when they start barking so they know the pain is a bad thing. All I can say is that is works for little dogs.

I put new batteries in it and I could not get it to turn on. Never got to use it even once.

Got it, tried it, did not work. In fact, I just realized by reading the other reviews why my dog had been barking more – it’s the BarkOff!

Thank god i got these half price, they didnt work AT ALL! I put one where my dogs sleep at night (outside) and one farther down the fence where the neighbor waters his roses….they stood right in front of it and barked their heads off! Better off shelling out the money for the GOOD bark collars if barking is a problem.

This product works, but you can’t leave it on all the time, they get use to the sound, plus it drives them nuts. To train them you have to only turn it on when they bark, Then turn it off. Then back on again. they will get use to it and learn to not bark. It works great if you know how to use it.

I have a Lab/chow mix and the Bark off works great. I figured out that if I only turn it on when he barks and I tap it. He instantly stops barking. I also use it to call him in the house when he is outside, I turn it on and he will come running back to the house. I think this works great. But it seems to not work on little dogs. My dog is trained now that I don’t even have to turn the bark off on, I can just hold it up to show him it and he will not bark. I love it. I take it everywhere. It stops other dogs from barking at us. Even on the beach. :)

This product does NOT work. I’m glad I only paid $10 for it. I do shih tzu rescue & have many fosters. I turned the barkoff on the high setting – had NO effect on any of the dogs. Another reviewer stated it worked for her big dogs but not her yorkie – voice doesn’t set it off. Even though the shih tzus are small, believe me, they can really bark loud, especially when you have more than a dozen! I definitely do NOT recommend this product.

I have a small litttle dog. The first time i turned it on he stopped barking midway through. I could tell the difference but then it’s like he got used to the sound (or the sound they say it transmits). But he doesnt bark as much as he used to. I can say it does work but not forever…
