Does Aqua Stone Really Work?

The Aqua Stone is a natural room humidifier that comes in the form of a stone sphere. The sphere is actually a porous stone that can absorb water through capillary action, and can release it as well through natural evaporation. The AquaStone is known to not need any electricity to work, as it is enough to just pour water into its receptacle and leave it alone to take effect. A single Aqua Stone is said to be enough to do the work of a conventional single-room electric humidifier, and since there are no electric cords or chemicals involved, it is safe to place anywhere in the house even if there are children or pets around. Each order of the aqua stone includes one aqua stone, its receptacle, and a smaller, mini-aqua stone that will work best in confined spaces.

The Aqua Stone pretty much works as advertised. Water is drawn upward through the pourous sphere and evaporates into the air. However, you’d probably have to put two or three in a room to feel any difference. In fact, it’s probably a better decorative/conversation piece than a humidifier. Someone online recommends adding a few drops of scented oil to deodorize a room. I may give that a try.
