Does Acupuncture Really Work?
Acupuncture is used to treat patients suffering from ailments and this is done by inserting needles in certain points. These points are known as meridians or channels that assist in the flow of life energy. It is known to treat infertility, pain, promotes health, prevents diseases and is also used for therapeutic purposes. It combines traditional Chinese medicine as a significant part of its practice and theory. Acupuncture was created based on the theory that disease is caused by the imbalance of the yin and yang (negative and positive forces). This is caused by the blockage of “qi” (life energy).
