I followed the instructions and took the five hour energy product. Within about 30 minutes, I noticed energy, alright – but a very negative kind. It felt like something was sitting on my chest, like I could not breathe, and I thought I was dying. I went to the E.R. and they told me it was just a panic attack. While it was wearing off I felt incredibly depressed. So I went from anger to depression in this “five hour” span. NOT recommended, my heart felt like it was pumping out of my chest.

I first tried it on a long drive in hopes of it keeping me awake through the boring trip, and it worked great. This was about a year ago, and I’ve been using it ever since when I need a boost on a long drive or long work day.
Just as a tip, it works best on an empty stomach and sometimes you might get a minor (but not unmanageable) headache, also the effects of the energy boost fade fairly quickly if you eat something more substantial than a protein bar for example, after taking the energy shot

I purchased this product on 22FEB10 and I must say that I am very satisfied with the result. I just completed at 10.5 hour trip at about 4 hours into my trip I was feel drowsy and needed to pull off to the side to rest but I did make it to a rest area and lo and behold they actually had 5 hour energy in a vending Machine. I bought on eand Immeidatley I felt awake and refreshed and had the stamina to continue my journey.

Driving a truck, you already get pretty darn tired so I do take this product but it only works for 2 or 3 hrs,depending on how tired you are.
